"The Ring" is to be made of pure Welsh gold...costing a small fortune
to keep with Royal Tradition, the mine in Snowdonia will be unworkable in 6yrs time for all it is closed now, so ending this tradition.

Its rather nice to use local gold and after all it is only a gold band, nothing extrvagant about that. If the Welsh gold mine closes down, they could always use Cornish gold as they are taking about opening the Pool (Camborne) tin mine and gold is just one of several extractable other metals apparently.

What's the big deal about having a ring made up....plenty of couples do it. They are not the first-and they won't be the last. In fact-this may serve as a boost to Welsh gold-and any other gold produced in the UK.It has been written that whatever Kate in particular does will give an enormous boost to fashion,charities...whatever she takes an interest in. So-let's not knock it.
