In view of their past record were the police right to allow these thugs to march?

Take a look at the second picture, do we want such scenes on our streets, and are their actions any different from those of the militant Muslims?

Who is to say that a photo of students hanging a leading politician is any less serious than a group of Muslims burning an effigy of a leading politician?

Seems a daft place to put a police van. Were they hoping it will make them behave?
Just because a bunch of poppy-burning thugs that support terrorism call themselves Muslims it doesn't mean I have to play along with their attempts to attach some nobility to their hatred and violence. Why should I perpetuate their propaganda just because the slow-thinking media does it for them? I prefer to call these people deluded idiots because that is how I see them.

And I believe we can still deal severely with misbehaving students without having to equate their actions with those of vile thugs that support the bombing of tube trains

You rudely and incorrectly called me an hypocrite, due to your misreading of my post.

As already pointed out to you nowhere did I say that I wanted to stop others exercising their democratic rights.

I defend the right for the EDL to march and I also defend the right for the students to march..

What I am concerned with is the fact that the EDL are not allowed to march, only to make stationary protests.

The EDL are not allowed to get away with half of what the students have caused.

No it is not me who is Hypocritical, a level playing field is all I ask.
AOG. I love the technique.

Make four very loaded statements and then put a question mark on the end each. When challenged, claim they were questions not provocative statements...

Is AOG an apologist for the BNP and EDL?
Does he condone violence if it is against ethnic minorities?
Does he repeat what he is spoon fed in the Daily Mail?
Does the thousands of posts on race over the years prove he is prejudiced?

/// it doesn't mean I have to play along with their attempts to attach some nobility to their hatred and violence. Why should I perpetuate their propaganda just because the slow-thinking media does it for them? ///

Whatever you wish to call them Uberloitenment, you cannot hide the fact that they follow the Muslim faith, and it would be wrong to deny the fact.

Every wrong doing they commit is in the name of Allah and any attack on Islam is responded to in the name of Allah..

There are many who would find it convenient to announce that they are really Jews/Christians or whatever, who are stirring up trouble for Islam, but it wouldn't wash.

Yes until today I would have believed that no one could get away making such allegations, but having read another's thread, who accused Right-Wing thugs for the violence at the students protest, I now find some will go to any lengths.
I believe that the ranks of the marchers were infiltrated by members of the young Liberals and young tory groups. With their violence they're clearly out to blacken the good name of the students and their legitimate protest.
Just to easy.

Your a hypercrite, just because you deny it doesn't make it so. I would have thought you would be supporting them seeing as most of them will be card carrying Tories in a few years.

I wonder how many right wingers you have driven away, because thay don't wish to be assocaited by your spite.

Are you referring to this post or some other because I cannot see any question marks at the end of any statements, perhaps you will help an old fellow (who's eyesight is not what it was) out?

I will answer your questions though, even though you only answer certain easy ones of mine.

/// Is AOG an apologist for the BNP and EDL?///

Not mentioned the BNP only made remarks on the bias treatment dished out by the left wing BBC against the BNP leader.

Regarding the EDL once again I will give support which I feel is needed, simply because they are the only ones to take the problem of rising Islam by the horns

/// Does he condone violence if it is against ethnic minorities? ///

I do not condone violence no matter who it is targeted against, but if one is accused of violence then others should be also, equal rights and all that.

/// Does he repeat what he is spoon fed in the Daily Mail? ///

I do not repeat anything that I myself doesn't also believe in, I also will not be told what I may read or what I may not read.

/// Does the thousands of posts on race over the years prove he is prejudiced?///

Another over-exaggeration, admittedly I have posted many on race, just as others have also, but being in a multi-racial country, with a mass immigration problem, this is nothing unusual, and if any had been found to be the least bit racist, I am sure the ED would have taken care of them.
Murderers and thugs have always claimed that their violence is in the name of some noble act or being. Hitler claimed to be saving Europe and probably believed it too, but a deluded, nonsensical belief is no excuse for despicable actions.

As far as I am concerned a murdering terrorist who claims to follow a faith - any faith - is no different from the pedophile that claims to love children. I judge these people by their actions, not by what they claim to be or believe they follow, which is inevitably self-serving.

Just thought I would copy and paste your first few words (not to be taken literally, even if they may sound that way)

/// Your a hypercrite, just because you deny it doesn't make it so ///
Hello AOG,
the one I saw being interviewed on the lunch time News, wasn't British, can someone enlighten me here, so does the cuts in University grants, include overseas students?
I am curious
According to BBC radio the student march has been infiltrated by large numbers of school students.

Evidently there are lots of female 6th formers in gymslips and short skirts.

My question is;

Will the please accept civilian volunteers to help restrain them?
.
He was marching in sympathy with his UK fellow students.
Will the Police accept civilian volunteers to help restrain them?

good grief!
.
did they say that Stephen?

If a bomb is threatened to go off by someone who claims that he is doing it on behalf of Islam.

Should the authorities then not suspect a person of the Muslim faith, or should they waste valuable time questioning, if or not it may be someone who follows a different faith, in case they offend peace loving Muslims?.
>>Students have smashed up a police van in central London and there have been sporadic skirmishes as thousands gather for another demonstration against student fees.

Protesters surrounded the van in Whitehall, rocking it back and forth and smashed the windscreen with wooden poles.

Other students tried to stop the vandalism.

Zoe Williams, who tried to stop the demonstrators, told Sky News she wanted the students to "rationalise" their actions.

"I didn't want other people to get injured - people don't realise that when you rock a van it can fall over," she said

"And the cause we are here for today is not about hating the police."

The van was later looted by protesters and stripped of its contents.<<

i can see zoe getting a job as a teacher ( people don't realise that when you rock a van it can fall over )
Same if you rock a casbah
.
physics teacher that girl, i can tell :)
Your question is leading since I am obviously not going to suggest the police waste time. And I couldn't care less about people being offended to be honest, if the police have genuine reason to suspect the person is really a Muslim, beyond what the bomber tells them of course.

But as I am sure you are aware, on the day of the murders, the 7/7 bombers were not characetrised by any genuine attachment to Islam but by leaving inane, childish messages on each others phones believing they were members of The A Team.

So if a bomb is threatened to go off by someone who claims that he is doing it on behalf of Islam, I would suggest the police look for a gang of morons first.
