Frankie de Tom Cat woke me up this morning by sitting on the side of the bed and staring at me. It makes a change from him physically assaulting me I suppose.
My question is - why don't cats eyes dry out when they go into a 'staring trance'? I have often tried to out-stare him and have had to give up.
I got up and came down stairs, put food in their bowls and came on-line to check my emails. Where is Frankie? He got into my bed as soon as I left the bedroom and his sister is still sleeping - she is not a morning cat.
It really is a hard life being a cat - not!

I would suggest that your cats would prefer that you move into a shed in the garden, only entering the house to supply food and make the bed., As for staring into eyes, this is only a matter for the cat's consideration and would be an intrusion into the cat's privacy. I would suggest that you consider your position, as you seem to be unaware of feline superiority !!!

I arrived home after being out for about four and a half hours. They were sitting in the kitchen waiting to be fed. The large bowl of Iams totally ignored - and they both like it.
I couldn't remember what was the acceptable makes and varieties at present. I went for a green sachet (lamb or rabbit!) of Whiskas grilled stuff. It hadn't even hit the bowl when Frankie rejected the offering and wandered off. It pains me to say this but my little girl is not too bright, she just went off after him. I ignored them and had my dinner.
I now have to go upstairs and catch Frankie and pin him to the bed to give him his asthma inhaler. He is usually 'good' and doesn't put up much of a fight - but I have to catch him first. They both get a treat after he has had his treatment.
bosschester - I presume that you work for a feline. Prior to getting my last cat I had always had dogs, stupidly I figured that four legs and a tail meant they were similar animals. I was in for a big shock.
I had better go - they are being quiet!
