70 year old tagged for giving the police food poisoning, when they should have been out bashing the EDL, she is clearly a EDL supporter.

We have front line police officers who are mentally scarred after food poisoning! I hope to god they never have to attend a bad RTA.... because I know which of the two would cause me the worst mental suffering and it's not food poisoning!

On another note, I think a tag is a little excessive in this case, the fine would have been enough.

I read the costs as a fine on the first read.

I agree, there is a huge difference between witnessing (or attending) and accident and being involved in one.

but they weren't involved in an accident, they had food poisoning.

When busy with lots of potential fines out pop the plod from behind CCTVs to ticket our cars, avoiding ticketing the indian takeaway cars. Plods are 'rewarded' with takeways.

Mentally scarred, oh dear. I suppose they'll never be able to deal with victims of other food poisoning again, the flashbacks will be too severe.
