Why are these women so keen to convert to the Muslim faith?

Will these converts be happy to become almost subservient to their husbands, or will they set an example to Muslim women of how they are being oppressed?

And so did Parkdale to a degree. There are certainly thousands of Muslims leaving Islam, but whether they're doing it in order to convert to Christianity I can't say.

Which reminds me of a school, where I taught for 10 years , one of my religious colleagues use to run a bible class during the lunch break which was attended by about half a dozen children, but without exception those children were always the odd-balls who just didn't fit in with the normal behaviour of their peers.
If my colleague was not in the room she would leave them religious material to talk about but the moment she was gone they didn't even look at them . They didn't need to they had there own little group hideaway .
Most of us conform to our society but for those who can't, religion and its rules is a convenient opt out.

According to Bunkmoreland my little Birdie hit the nail on the head when he claimed that it has more to do with UK Laws that why Muslims are behaving.

I wonder why then in the UK (under UK laws) these women could only manage to find Muslims. In fact they do not have to change their religion either and could easily find another person possibly a non-Muslim. After all why take risk with women oppressors. After all it has nothing to do with them or their way of life and it is mainly for the reason of UK law and nothing else. Just a thought.

My point is that why women have to find only Muslims as UK laws are same for all. So obviously something else is attracting them towards Muslims because impact of law (according to your analogy) starts once they are already married. But what else is there in the first place that is attracting them towards these people. Muslim’s way of life or perhaps even status of women in Islam as after all being women they must have thought about that too. So why not stick with someone else where they do not have to give up their "PLEASURES" of Western life. Or perhaps these women are fed up with that western life (as many who converted accept that). Just another thought.

According to one ancient writer in Islam a man must not leave a womens bed until she has received more pleasure than he has!

What intrigues me is what will happen if a convertee marries within the faith, and the husband then acquires more wives which I believe they can do.

A Muslim man can only marry up to four wives if he has the means to treat them all equally - e.g. four wives living in the same house with their own accommodation, or four houses.
However, I know several women who converted to Islam when they were single, and then looked to marry a Muslim man. A male friend of mine converted so he could marry a Muslim woman. These are not all in the UK.
