A question to the AB Editor

A few years ago, the Answerbank supported HTML codes such as <b> and </b> for bold text, <i> and </i> for italicises, and <u> and </u> for underlined text.

Are there any plans to reinstate this? 

If we are able to create posts with emphases, it would lead to a reduction in what I can only describe as 'misplaced antagonism'.

I post this in the 'News' section, because this is where all the hep cats hang out (and has the second largest demographic on Answerbank).

I used them alot back on the old AB, and the coloured font and the bold font, we're the improved AB now though, we have errrr, other stuff

The html was badly abused a couple of years ago, messing AB up.

It is EASY to emphasise WORDS AND PHRASES without html!!!!

I don't mind bold or italics but the ideas of different colours all over the place makes my eyes start to ache in anticipation.

Im not fond of html codes, purely because they were abused heavily in the past.

whole topic pages were left bold and underlined, it used to give me a headache

Oh yeah...sometimes by mistake. I thought that was one of the reasons they stopped it. To try and fix it.

General forum etiquette.. You type a whole thing in capitals then it's considered shouting and rude. But I don't think the odd word in capitals for emphasis would hurt.
