This drug dealing Transvestite has escaped prison so that he can complete his sex change.

The Judge said "You have received Government funding and if I send you to prison I would be sentencing you to a continuation of your sexual nightmare, possibly forever."

What about the drugs he deals in, wasn't he also sentencing many poor individuals to a continuous drug enforced nightmare, possibly forever?

He would face the death sentence in some counties, but here he is let off so that he can complete his sex change, amazing.

AOG - get your terminology right please, he is not a crossdresser. If he (she) is going for surgery, they are a transsexual - and as such are most likely sterile at the moment and very difficult to get it up. A crossdresser is someone who dresses usually for fetish; a transvestite is someone who enjoys dressing as a female but doesnt want to become one. This is not necessarily sexual in nature......

I agree about the drug dealing though that has nothing to do with being a female or not. However, I would hate to think what would happen in prison to him..... what was the drug(s) by the way and then we can see if it is appropriate - and did he/she already have form?

seen the drugs and a lengthy sentence for class C seems stiff (no pun meant)......some compassion may be apropos given the transformation.....and we don't know the history of that as there are women trapped in female bodies and occasionally vica versa - I have known a few, and even the latter category and it isn't a joking matter in many cases; indeed there can be some really sad stories as those old hormones get mixed up on conception and development.

Look, if the Judge considers this individual to be more female than male, why not bang(no pun) "her" away in a women's prison instead of just more or less letting "her" off a custodial sentence?

This man has broken the law and has been treated differently solely because he wants to be a woman (even though he never will be a woman as that is an absolute impossibility) and that is simply not right.

flipflop you need to read something like Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. I mention this as it is highly readable and gives a good summary of reams of technical/scientific literature on this sensitive subject. It outlines the basis of sexuality and shows that some of the old nutshells are actually true - I give two examples with statements like:

men park cars better than women - yes, because of their inherent spatial analysis which goes back to hunting - boys play with blocks when they are 2 or 3 in 3d whereas girls play in two dimesions. Thjis links back to our Maslow Hierarchy of needs and the male role as hunter....

women having better language skills - being the centre of the family. The old one of men saying to their partner, "How did you know x was goiing to behave like that?" Because part of the skill base of a woman is that she naturally watches the whole body and not just the face - whereas the male watches the head (again the hunting /war thing and the need to watch the potential reaction of the 'foe'). Coincidentally this is one thing that salesmen have to be made aware of in training......

I could go on with plenty more .

Now before I get accused of being sexist, I (well the book) is not saying that this is true for all folk. There are some women with brilliant spatial skills and can outdrive or outplay many men. And ditto the language point. the cause of this is that we have a spectrum out there of folk with different mixes of male and female hormones - we all have both from birth but the variety is driven by this balance - and it can change over life - more aggressivity in aging women as the oestrogen drops back, more passivity in men as the testerone drops back.

In extreme examples, this balance, or rather mis-balance, causes men to feel like they are females and, more rarely, the other way around.

If the thought processes do not match the gender you are given chopping bits off and remodelling the design should not be the way forward. Brain illnesses have to be tackled with drugs and if psychotic to modify the thought processes. Gender changers should be tackled in the same manner!

Blimey there isn't another one just like you out there, is there?

Not being a medical person, and not having the need to show any particular interest in the subject of sex changes, that would induce me draw on various volumes appertaining to the subject, I can only quote from sources much closer to hand.

1/ The newspaper report that said he was a Transvestite, and a cross-dressing drug dealer.

2/ The legitimate dictionary definition, that described the word 'Transsexual' as one who has undergone a sex change and since he had not, I assumed that word inappropriate.

But right or wrong I think by criticising me over the use of words, it is getting away from the more important issue behind my question, and that was should he had been let of a jail sentence for being a drug dealer, not was he a Transvestite, Transsexual or even a cross dresser?
