why do you think it's not a top priority?
The report brought to mind the young girl, 'Milly', who was abducted some time ago. The police will be giving this a lot of attention.
Question Author
last one i mentioned on here sara only found out about 2 weeks after it had happened

do you need to find a dead body in a lane before it gets on all the news channels
because by then it will be too late
DrF, why does it always seem like you're personally attacking me again?

I feel quite confident that the police will be doing their utmost to catch this person.
Question Author
sara i am not attacking you , what have i said to upset you
The trouble is that an attempted abduction won't make the headlines.
Question Author
should i have said

do we have to find a dead body in a lane

on the friday morning when this happened the police should have got every film from all street cameras, shops, factories and houses in a 10 mile area

that car must be on a camera, everywhere you go in manchester there are cameras
you mentioned my name in your last post, and seemed to think I was prepared to wait for someone to be murdered before I was interested.
Question Author
sara sorry i may be typing too fast, thing is there has been a few attempted abductions around manchester

i don't think he is after help with his homework
might i suggest that just because the media are not running with a certain story the police are probably doing everything they would even if it was making front page news around the country - I wouldn't want things investigate according to how much attention the public are giving the issue anyway.
You seem convinced that the abductions are connected and the work of one man. What is your evidence for that?
Question Author
Gromit read it again ,
catch him/them , i think the word them gives it away

in this latest incident in benchill

The offender is described as mixed race, about 6ft tall, medium build, in his 30s, with black braided hair, a pierced left ear with a stud in it, brown eyes, and was wearing a white t-shirt and dark blue jeans. He smelt strongly of aftershave.

the one that was in tameside not long ago was 3 asian men

Gromit >> You seem convinced that the abductions are connected and the work of one man. What is your evidence for that? <<

you don't make sense to me Gromit
// the one that was in tameside not long ago was 3 asian men //

Nope. The Haughton Green one was
// ... black, with a 'Number One' haircut, and a scar down his neck on the right hand side. He had a black 4x4 //

The Dukinfield one did not specify a colour or vehicle. The Stalybridge one didn't specify colour but he had a white Transit van. In both incidents it was one man.

There have been other incidents:

// Pupils at Romiley Primary School were given a letter to take home after the first incident on Saturday, June 26, when a seven-year-old girl was grabbed from behind by a man as she walked along Springwood Crescent on the Cherry Tree estate.

He turned her towards a parked van and asked her if she wanted to see some puppies but she managed to run off.

Two days later a man in a silver BMW grabbed an eight-year-old boy at Brinnington health centre and asked him whether he wanted to buy a Nintendo DS. The boy broke free and rode off.

Two days after that, on Wednesday, June 30, a man approached a 10-year-old girl on Wesley Street, Hazel Grove and asked her whether she wanted to see some puppies. The girl, ran off. Then on Thursday, July 1, a man approached a seven-year-old boy on Coleridge Road, Reddish, and asked if he wanted some sweets.

The boy tried to run off but the man grabbed him. The boy managed to struggle free and ran home. //

Diggle:
// The seven-year-old child was playing with friends at the school’s playground on Sam Road when the incident happened at 1pm.

According to Greater Manchester Police, the woman got out of a blue car and offered the child some sweets.

2 simple questions Gromit

1, did you not read ( to catch him/them )

notice them

2, Haughton Green is in tameside
Question Author
I know Haghton Green is in Tameside, which is why I posted that the suspect was a black man and not 3 Asian men.
Question Author
did you notice him/them
Question Author
i have looked for the link for the 3 asian men but i am unable to find it, like sandy has said up above

Question Author
pressed send before i finished

there never seems to be much in the press about these attempts, could the police want it that way
Why would the Police want it that way?

And I could probaly find a dozen newspaper reports in Greater Manchester, without trying too hard.
