So he had an affair with a politicians wife, is that a sackable offence?

If he had been on duty at the time, then perhaps there is some justification, but if not then all that should happen is a good dressing down and relieved of his duties of a body guard.

/// Dai Davies, former head of Scotland Yard’s Royalty Protection Squad said. "It doesn’t get any worse than that. It’s like a footman having an affair with one of the senior royals".///

Mmmmm! I wonder if he was referring to anyone in particular?

I thought it only ever happened in the football season
Dont know what the Policeman was doing - his own wife looks a little cutie in comparison.........
He was using his authority to get nookie on the side.

You know what, he has a wife; he deserves everything he's getting. Wife must be so hurt and embarrassed.

His own marriage collapsed up to two years ago – before he became involved with 47-year-old Mrs Johnson.
Wasn't aware of that Oldgit. Still, he's a public figure, and most likely had known what's expected of him.
Why should he be sacked? Was the wife raped or something? Was she a naive 47 years old victim of some predatory lothario? Or was it a case of "It takes two to tango"?

Disciplined, yes, but only because he has (obviously!) committed a so called disciplinary offence. I heard that he had initially been transferred to protection duties for the Home Secretary, who is.......? Yes, Theresa May! Hmmmmmmm.....the irony is difficult to escape, innit?

Let's face it, there have been enough Hon Members involved in similar dalliances who have retained their jobs, so why should this guy be treated any differently, just for failing to keep his trouser snake zipped up?

Well put.
Question. If all the people who had sex within the roles of their job, there would be another five million on the jobseekers allowance.
Move him but not sack him.
