They are not cutting vital services, that is an overblown statement too. Many labour councils are cutting front line services in preference to taking pay cuts from their bloated and inexlicable salaries simply to make a political point.
And remember it was Noo labour, who inherited the best economy of an incoming Government from the Tories, who left us trillions in debt.
I think you'll find there were already <<thousands of public sector non-jobs and the wonderful pensions that go with them>> when the labour shower took over from the tory shower.
And if anyone thinks cutting the top salaries of a few will equal the savings of losing a quantity of lower paid jobs needs to learn some basic maths.
e.g. 10 fat cats have salary reduced by £100,000. annual saving £1 million
Number of frontline workers on £25,000 saved = 40!
Not likely to make much difference is it?
.
"I do not have an allegiance to any party"
Are you sure ? I think we can tell where it does,nt lie.
It,s going to be very, very difficult for any Government to sort out the mess, that Blair,
Brown and their cohorts, left this country in.
