I don't understand your point - the article says that other gay Muslims have undergone nikah if they want to be "married". You could ask the same question about gay Jews or Christians, neither welcomed by their respective faiths but they still go through ceremonies to be "partnered".
well it certainly aint halal..as to teachings of the Koran.
Guess they have to wait until the day of judgement to find out to see if their views were permitted by the deity in the white robes and the long white beard....
My point being, isn't the civil ceremony that gays of other religions go through, the same one that is provided by ther state for all those that don't wish to get married in a religious ceremony in a church, synagogue etc?
If Muslims believe in having more than one wife maybe the same applies to homosexual partners. This they couldn't do if marrying in Britain as its against the law to have more than one partner. You can imagine the furore if he was married and then committed infidelity and the divorce lawyers coming into play.
