Such a viewpoint is common in today’s world. Scandals involving lies told by prominent politicians and other world leaders have rocked society. Influenced by this climate, many people have relaxed their commitment to telling the truth. In some domains lying has even become official policy. “I’m paid to lie. This seems to be the core of retail sales training everywhere, Many believe that there is no real harm in so-called little white lies. Is this true?

and how many lies, albeit written innocently to explain the unexplainable, are written in the Bible.

Since when have politicians not lied? It has always gone on

Since when have priests buqqered and abused their parishioners children? Unfortunately that has always gone on in the Church (of all persuasions), even including the Jehovah's - http://en.wikipedia.o...s_and_child_sex_abuse

In your words, it is summed up by Job 13:4, "But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value." And that includes all (in italics) churches and religions.

Sometimes the truth can kill
Could the Mod or Ed involved in deleting my post please give an explanation to why it was removed. It was a serious answer to this question. I am rather narked by this censorship.
Mods can't delete individual posts, it's been said on here loads.
And Ed doesn't give explanations....as been mentioned loads of times on here.
New tactics spotted here. Elderman attempts to lure the unwary into a normal conversation and then hits them with his religious tripe. :-)
true China...

My points that I rose were that (i) lying politicians and leaders go way back in history (ii) the hyprocisy and lying of the major churches as to paedophilia and abuse which goes way way back (iii) that even Jehovahs and Christadelphians have been rocked by such scandals and I cited two articles on this - in other words that there is a hell of a lot of lying going on in so called faiths. I also quoted from Job as to one view on lying from the Bible.......

I do not see what was wrong in that. And I am somewhat pizzed off to the point I am going to the pub.
I agree to that, ratter.....
DT..have a pint on me, we'll sort out the financial details later....paypal?

If you are a parent, you have a gigantic challenge on your hands—to raise loving, happy children in a world where they learn from an early age that people cannot be trusted. “Don’t talk to strangers.” “You can’t believe everything the TV ad says.” “Tell them Mommy isn’t home.” How does a child learn whom to trust? The book How to Help Your Child Grow Up says: “Little children must learn early the necessity and beauty of honesty, of courage, of honorable dealing with others; and home is where these have their beginning.
Thats good.......zzzzz
Come on Elderman, hit us with the Bible bit.

I would keep children away from the Bible, it is jammed full of lies and contradictions, you just dont see them though your rose coloured specs.
