Are you retired?

I have been for a few years now but people still ask me,
"What do you do with yourself all day"? I tell 'em "its not as easy as you may think. The only trouble with retirememt is you never get a day off"

No, still working full time, although I could have gone by now. I love my job!

I should have in Feb this year but now they have altered it all I have another 2 years !!!

I took early retirement due to ill health. What do I do all day, read, trawl the internet. crosswords, sudoko. etc.

They'll have to drag me out, kicking and screaming, but hopefuly not for a while.

Mr O has taken very early retirement. So far he has joined the archery club, the sailing club, an over 50's sports club, a ukele group, a guitar group and has just taken delivery of 90,000 bees on his allotment.
I never see him!

I retired 5 years ago at the ripe old age of 58 (aided by redundancy). Where I ever found time to go to work I don't know. I'm the old guy pulling the caravan in front of you by the way.

I haven't stopped being active, I've just stopped being paid for it.

I was going to say that my four years of retirement has been identical to that of rowanwitch. I can now add spilling afternoon tea onto keyboard so this might not submit. Back to fence painting but if I don`t get it done today there is always Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday...........bliss.

I love it. I love the freedom and can find plenty to do. I also love to be outside in the fresh air as much as I like - I could never go back to being cooped up indoors all day sitting on my bum.

And the joy of being able to snuggle back under the duvet on cold winter's mornings and not be controlled by the clock.

Work as a consultant as and when I like, specialising in what I used to do for less money.

Loving every minute of it. Not regretting a single moment. I can't beleive the government pay me for not working.

Semi retired and I wonder how I ever had time to work. 5 kids 12 grandkids plus a large Labrador to take 'walkies' keeps me busy all the time , work was much more relaxed.

Its so nice to hear you're all enjoying your retirement and yes I love to be able to turn over on a cold morning pull up the duvet and snooze again. I've become 'The Woman in The Dressing Gown' too (Remember the Film) Now the sun is showing its face I'll be busier and out more.Yes me too I have plenty to do all day, even if its done in the armchair.
