A 3 person civil Union has been approved in Brazil in huge controversy.

If 3 people want this should it be refused - is there a victim to this "crime"?

It makes practicable sense.

Why not?

No intrinsic reason but on a practical note it might not be compatible with certain legislation around, tax inheritance etc where a single spouse is assumed.

There would be other unanswered questions - if one of them dies does the partnership continue with the remaining two? How would divorce laws work? Could one partner divorce one other or only dissolve the entire partnership.

Sounds like it could keep lawyers in (gainful?) employment for years!
Are we assuming it's a sexual relationship?
I wait for the ECHR to insist that you can have any combination of any number of participants ... why stop at three.

Perhaps we should go for the AB civil partnership en masse ... or just gromit/aog/jackthehat ... phew what a scorcher
I`ve always favoured two men one woman relationships. It would cut the birth rate and housing shortage. There would be more chance of getting that cupboard fixed and there would always be a babysitter on hand.
.................and with one man, two women you get double PMT!
terribly confusing for the wedding reception punch-up
You old traditionalist you.
