What Is It With Asda Car Parks?

Here we have two 60 plus men both who went out on a Saturday shopping trip, only for one to be killed and the other charged with his manslaughter, what a sorry state of affairs.
Can anyone in their wildest dreams understand that the simple fact that the first possession of a disabled parking space could lead to this?
But apparently this type of thing isn't an isolated occurrence.

The moral over this is, if anyone cuts you up over a parking space, just let them have it, it's not worth the possible outcome to argue over it.

My experience of supermarket car parks is that far too many non-disabled
people use them, with complete disregard for disabled peoples needs. I have complained to the Manager of our local Co-op about this but, although he sympathised, he said that his hands were tied.
Not sure if this is what happened in this case but it sounds likely.

One Asda I know of once had a barrier bar over the entrance to the special disabled car park area, and one had to take one's blue disabled badge into the store so as to register one's vehicle.
Once registered a device on the barrier recognised one's number plate, which in turn lifted the barrier, and ideal idea I thought, but after only a few weeks the barrier bar remained forever in the raised position for some strange reason.

I would never argue over a parking space anywhere, it is simply not worth it.
I recall driving down a narrow urban street with arfound twenty cars parked on one side, leaving one side free for the passage of vehciles. As i got to the end of the mine, a taxi came the other way, and entered the gap, meaning i could not proceed past the last vehicle.
When it became clear after a few seconds that he was not going to reverse the one car length needed to allow me to pass, I reveresed past the twenty or so cars i had passed, and pulled in to allow him to pass.
As he did so, he flashed two fingers at me.

I use the family bays when i borrow my grandchildren to shop at tesco , they are opposite the disabled bays, sitting there waiting for my grandkids and their mum to come out you see some sights, i watched a couple drive up and use the 3rd bay up, the woman was in her mid thirties and the bloke maybe late 20s, they got out of the car, got bags out of the boot and locked up, they walked to the car, then it appeared that the woman (the driver) had forgotten something, she jogged back to the car, opened the passenger side and leant into the back to collect another bag. She appeared to have no issues whatsoever. Confused me somewhat, maybe the fit bloke she came with in shorts and a vest had some disability that meant not only could he not drive he couldn;t walk from a bay further away, though the potential disability was not apparent. Perhaps it was sunstroke, he looked quite tanned.
