... got no mind to worry ...

Lovely sunny day, done a couple of Listeners (thanks for the nudge, jim360) and even my nastikoff is getting better.

So it's time for a glass of Beaujolais 2011 and a few crackers in the garden.

How's your day been?

Nice weather and not as much disruption as I thought with the Tory party conference kicking off, protest marches and bus diversions.

Met a friend for a gorgeous brunch and coffee between sitting with more coffee reading my book.
One word answer. broccoli.
Salted crackers? Christmas crackers? Jokes? Visitors?
Slow day for me...unusually. Can't get myself into a working gear. Titivating the garden is not as exciting as building something so a cement and slab smashing day tomorrow and I will perhaps start on a wall..somewhere.
Enjoy the wine...and crackers....x
I'm making a coffee and walnut cake - but it's still too wet in the centre I reckon so I've just covered it, it's now nearly twenty minutes after the time I'm supposed to take it out so a bit worried. Temperatures turned down though and I'm sure it shouldn't be bubbling like a liquid in the centre before I take it out... Should point out this is the first cake I've made in bloody years!
broccolli is not what I typed.
Jeza - good to see you posting - guess things are not too good at the moment, you've not posted for a while?
Hi jeza. What's happening with you, hon?
Our day's been quiet - plenty of rugby on the TV for OH, and I've been doing some paperwork, knitting, and having a kip.
Try Shark's offering next :P.
Very nice Dave. Walk over the ancient common this morning. A couple of hours on here then a lovely roast Chicken Sunday lunch with mrs Z and our daughter (and Zac!). Few glasses of Castillo D'ablo. Snooze time shortly.
It is unfair to 'steal ' Dave's thread. I will start another one.

a quiet morning catching up on paperwork and cooking a large stew to freeze in meal size portions

my god-daughter came over just after lunch, took her swimming followed by some ten-pin bowling

I haven't been bowling for years Excel - I used to really enjoy it too
Ok jeza. Sorry, Dave. I've had weekend off work (just a couple of calls this evening) so been for a dog-walk and went to see a friend this afternoon who's looking for a house. Just having a sit-down now :-)
Gosh you lot, wish it was nice down here, it's been miserable with greyness and light rain, the light awful.

Seen a friend who is shortly opening a new restaurant, some discussion over marketing, otherwise a quiet day, some writing and now thinking about making dinner - some Chicken Kievs and a salad, the wine still in tact, a Chateau Roberperots from Bordeaux, just a 2010.
I went bowling once...with my adventure club.....well it is an adventure to bowl with sixty pensioners.
The bowls were too big for my hands so they found me some children's bowls. Children have skinny fingers....I don't.
Twenty sodding minutes I was in that bowling ball...fingers getting hotter and bigger....til they found some Vaseline....:-(
