When I Am Old

I was reading that when music from their era is played to old folks who are in care/nursing homes, it cheers them up no end and even the folks with dementia manage to sing along.
If I ever end up in a home they are in for a big shock as I will be requesting a variety of heavy metal.

Oh I hope so, MrsO.....In the mid eighties my work involved visiting care homes and now I am visiting them for Ma.....
They are still rolling out that bloody barrel over the white cliffs of Dover....
I'm going to turn up with The Pogues, Luke Kelly, Rod Stewart and Joan Baez......x

I was giggling imagining a bunch of crumblies head banging to something heavy - there would be hearing aids, specs and dentures flying all over the place

Is'nt it strange that we can remember all the old ones but can't remember what I am doing next week unless it is written down.
