As a non-religious person, I don't believe in Astrology either, but it does make some sense why earlier cultures did. At least they had something solid to support their believe, not just faith. The sea tides must also have been very puzzling for them.
Would surely be rare. If, as a group, they refuse to believe in a spiritual existence because they can not detect it, even though there are many reasonable discussions about why that might not be an issue; why would they opt to believe in something more testable and which doesn't seem to provide much in the way of positive evidence for it ?
If you refuse to believe in something which has absolutely no convincing supporting evidence, why should you believe in something else which also has absolutely no convincing supporting evidence ?
Not believing a god of some kind exists does not automatically exclude other forms of arbitrary belief including the belief that the relative positions of certain celestial bodies play a significant role in determining or influencing human affairs.

The relationship between atheists and astrology, like that between apples and oranges are linked only by ones ability to rationally evaluate the issues pertaining to beliefs in general and the specifics of each form of belief in particular.
I agree with Mibn2cweus. I wouldn't claim that no atheist believes in astrology. The absence of belief in supernatural gods does not preclude belief in other things – however unlikely.

I can see plenty connection between being an atheist and astrology.
All religions rely on the irrational belief in illogical circumstances, and that is also true, in spades, as far as astrology is concerned. All religions are made up and astrology is as well, probably by the same people !
I doubt it, you have to be pretty silly to go in for all that old pony, harmless enough though, at least they are not beheading people for not behaving like a "Libra"! I like to read them on occasion though to see what sort of day me and 5 million others are going to have! PMSL!
