We all know A) the BBC are in a Saturday evening ratings war with ITV, especially between Strictly and The X Factor, and B) the Media, the press particular, give most coverage to attractive young women. So what a surprise that the 3 strongest dancers on Strictly, and therefore the favourites to make the Final, are 3 babes: Frankie, Pixie and Caroline. Being pop stars, the first 2 at least are experienced dancers - far more so than any other contestants. Not a fix from the outset then....no, of course not! Do you not feel we are being taken for mugs?

No - because people who have had dance training rarely win it. I doubt any of the girlies you have mentioned will win it but we shall see!

The real question is who is voting for Judy Murray? She really cannot dance and yet is not in the dance off so are BBC also keeping up the interest up in this way.After all some of this year's contestants aren't even household names in their own household.So I agree Meryl we are being taken for mugs but maybe not entirely from the angle you suppose.

They're clearly not in a ratings war. They have moved Dr Who until after the kids' bedtime, so they get stuck with Strictly, and that way it doesn't clash with Ex Factor.
