My husband has OCD. Ours was an arrange marriage, and after the marriage i realised that things were amiss, i could not completely understand them, so it took me a long time (1and a half years) to seek professional help, where my husband was diagnosed with OCD. Another year of trying time with a small baby and unsupportive in-laws...he is fine. My problem is this....now that sooo much of my energy has gone into holding everything together, i have very little tolerance left, along with anxiety of symptoms coming back...at the slightest provokation i loose my composure....we still have a long way to go, in becoming a normal fam. wat do i do....and i hate my in-laws what can i do about that!!???

I have never been in that situation, but I can recommend a great book written by a woman with OCD. She describes her life growing up and the difficulties of marriage and maintaining a relationship with someone with OCD. It is called "Just Checking". Give it a read. And good luck with the in-laws!
Hi adi's mom, you've had to be so strong for so long, that I'm not surprised you're feeling the way you are.As suggested, talk to your doctor to see how you can be helped.I don't know what to suggest about the in-laws! But at least if you yourself felt better, they might be easier to put up with! Good luck.
