Nice joke in Corrie tonight. Cathy was looking at a book on famous artists trying to get inspiration for her next art lesson when Anna looked over her shoulder and pointed at a painting and asked "What's that?". Cathy replied "That's Pollock's" and Anna said "I don't know, I quite like it".
You never hear any humour like that in EastEnders.
Yes, I think it was "they're Pollocks"- it's an old joke but it sounded funny because it came out of the blue. Corrie throws these in quite often and does them really well. Credit should go to the actors for their deadpan/innocent delivery of some of these
I agree about the total lack of humour in EastEnders. I was born and raised in the East End of London and I can assure everyone that there was a lot of humour and some very funny and witty people.
The best line was a couple of weeks ago when Sally was rattling over the cobbles with a supermarket trolley full of booze for Kev's birthday. Tim was laughing and said to Sal 'You'll be going to the supermarket in your pyjamas with a row of lovebites round your neck next'
