for about a year and half I had 3 quarters of a very good perfume sitting in my cupboard because top was broken. Debenhams promised to fix the bloody thing but they gave me the round around. I never ever go into town if I can afford it but went to Perfume Land and explained to the girl - she said oh we have a retractable thingmajig that transfers the perfume to this little container. Guess what after all those years didn't I throw out it the previous night and bin men were there that following morning so I couldn't rummage. what an expense.

Throw away perfume, never! OOdate or disliked perfumes are sprayed on my furnishings. Atm am using up lily of the valley on my cushions.
Typical of life :-(
Still, another time town first, sling after.
Just wondering, tambourine. If the perfumes are disliked or out of date, why would you want the smell all over your furnishings?

Jennyjoan, isn't that just the way. You keep something for ages and then need it as soon as you've thrown it away.
Bin men? Rarity here, they never come here. I have to take bottles & tins to my works bin for emptying.

how come I dont get these services at home. I dont live on Mars!
Theyre to heavy to wear, cloverjo. On cushions its more suttle.

don't understand putting on furnishings - how the hell was I going to get the offending top off. anyway one of the things I wouldn't do - as I spray very very very lightly on myself. I could kick myself bloody sick.
Oh believe me I have worse than that
I had stored some rings in one of those small black plastic canisters that film for cameras were stored in. There was about £5k+ worth of diamond rings - my mums wedding ring and the medals from my children's holy communion.
It seems that whilst emptying the drawers it was kept in I have gathered it all up and put in the bin and hence has now gone to the tip!
The rings I'm not bothered about - well not as bothered as I am the medals and the wedding ring! The lose of them makes me want to weep

Ah that's sad Ricky - that sure was expensive loss. xx
Yes but we have decided to take the attitude - we never wore them any way
As I said the medals and the wedding ring are the saddest lose though
