Yes av actually met Russ Abbot socially way back when he was with the Barron Knights, great fellah funny and self deprecating, I worked with a bloke who's daughter was dating or married to him (or something like that) and attended a couple of barbeques one summer late 70s in Chester. Happy daze.

She may be speaking an element of truth. Older folk will have seen it all before and not wish to be taken in again; but would be keen to try to correct past mistakes before it's too late. I'm unsure if gender has much to do with it, and I'd suspect skin colour hasn't either save perhaps maybe a portion of immigrants, or early generations, whose loyalty is split between here and a past home country, might be less inclined to commit to here, and skew the figures a bit. Possibly.

No, working I'm afraid, but I have been promised a birthday tea at one of my brothers on Sunday.

We don't do Afternoon Tea anything like enough these days....not sure why but its seems to have fallen out of fashion. Its such a civilised meal.

Baldric...I am fairly sure Noel would have agreed with, as do I.....what a relief that it isn't going to happen, unlike being ruled by the Tories, which seems to have an annoying habit of coming around once in a while.

Oh Mikey. I thought we were on a similar wavelength. Why on earth do you want to stay in the EU? As John Macinroe said - You cannot be serious! Let us go back to doing things our way and making our own laws and rules. I would far rather be on the outside looking in than inside being dominated. We voted to go into a Common Market which has subtly changed over time to this bureaucratic organisation where we are just a number. Let us be free of it, please!
