Best mate has asked me to help him organise his wedding. He wants a nice, quiet wedding in Thailand.....away from all the hustle that goes with a traditional English wedding.

He's looking to do this in just under 3 years time on his fiancée's 50th.

The stay is for 2-3 weeks in a 5* all inclusive...top notch smallish hotel.

Wedding needs to be a quiet thing....just the 2 of them on a beach or in luxury hotel grounds.

He has a budget of around £8k but could go a bit further if pushed.

Anyone done this? Any tips, hints, suggestions etc are very welcome including resort.

Cheers guys

Not in Thailand but I got Kuoni to organise my wedding, it was nice to have a well respected company think about everything rather than worrying about doing it ourselves in a strange country. Apart from staying in a top notch hotel they arranged the paperwork, beach ceremony, music, flowers, cake, pretty much whatever you wanted.

Nice one Prudie....where did you have yours ?
Barbados. It was just us and 5 guests. I can't fault Kuoni but it was just a suggestion, still worth looking at.

I got married in Barbados over 20 years ago at the Island Inn in Carlisle bay. That was wife no 1..im on no 3 now lol.
Amsterdam is the best place for wedding ceremony. Actually, I had visited there in my friend's marriage ceremony and that was a very fascinating experience.
Amsterdam 'v' Thailand....Thailand would win hands down.
