Monday is a slack day for me so I Googled for you trying for Q117. I read the whole of the following site:
http://www.drizzle.com/~celyn/mrwp/mrwed.html but nowhere is abstainence mentioned. Another site I visited had the following to say: Quote:
The statement of Pope Nicholas I in which he declared in 866, "If the consent be lacking in a marriage, all other celebrations, even should the union be consummated, are rendered void", shows the importance of a couple's consent to marriage. It has remained an important part of church teaching through the years. Unquote.
Consent seems to be the main theme from what I've read and it would actually seem that no abstainance was required at all. I think the library is your best bet for this one as there are lots of books shown on sites, but the contents of said books are not available.
Sorry to let you down with this one.
Cheers O-ice

Hi O-ice
Thanks for your lateat message
You have no need to apologise as you most certainly do not let me down, your answers are always welcome
Ther was one question I did not post because it was so wordy and I thought I might find the answer, but as I haven't,see what you can make of this
Q116 Maurice Chevalier,Bing Crosby,Fred Astaire,Judy Garland,Bob Hope,John Wayne,Jimmy Stewart,Charlton Heston,Kirk Douglas,Sidner Poitier,Paul Newman,Robert Redford,Sean Connery, Harrison Ford and Anthony Hopkins.Which director are they delighted to have in common?
At the risk of suggesting a red herring, the use of the word delighted may be a clue
Thanks

Hi
I'm not picking up on the "delighted" hint. Thought it might be a woman director, but can't find one they all had in common. Actually can't find any director they had in common. Afraid I'm quite lost on this one. Perhaps later when you and Peabrain has finished the puzzle you'll let me know the answer.
I'm not doing the puzzle myself but find the questions very 'Challenging.'

Hi
Two comments.
1. I have never heard or read of De Mille being called "delightful." Other things, but not that.
2. Tobias nights is a new one on me. It is in Google as I'm sure you checked for yourself, but how would a body have gone about finding it?
Thanks for your greetings and may we wish you and yours "The Compliments of the Season."
