I spent a couple of hours at Furnace Creek, or very close to it in a road trip out West in 1992. It is so hot there, that I thought it closed down in the summer months. It certainly wasn't fully open in early September.
Death Valley is a place that I would gladly go back to again. I thought it fascinating, although punishingly hot. We went to an abandoned gold mine and saw a Coyote, as well as a rattlesnake. I also recall picking fresh dates from the palm trees around the swimming pool....the best dates I have ever tasted !
But, bloody hell....it was terribly hot !
I guess the coyote sequence last night was filmed in the Spring.
