Just when he had things going his way, it seems Jezza can't resist proposing some fantasy based ideas of toppling the Gov't:

not another election please, i am all electioned out.. Corbyn can say what he likes but Mrs May is still PM, perhaps not for long but can;t see him taking the reins at all.

"Look at me, I've got youth on my side"

He appears to be delusional!
Well I don't think I can blame him for wanting to vote down the Queen's speech. Why not make hay while the sun shines?

Perhaps he should be a little patient, though, and wait to see how the Tories destroy themselves before moving in for the kill.
I don't think that anybody has ever voted down the Queens Speech. Why can't this man admit that he lost.
danny
because as Baldric says he is delusional.
So he is going to vote down the Queen's Speech and the presumably ask her if he can form a government. The mind boggles.

Some people should learn when to shut up and just ride the crest of the publicity wave. Seems like Jezza can't resist talking socialist tosh.
1. Of course the Opposition is going to vote against May's Queen Speech.
2. 'I've got youth on my side' was not delusional but a light-hearted joke to end the Marr interview.
How has he 'lost the plot'?
What he says is just plain common sense.
He would have failed his party if he did not contest the Queens speech. The conservatives would have done exactly the same if the results were reversed .
You need to remember that contesting the Queen's Speech does not imply any disrespect to the Queen, it is purely a standard political move that any party in Labour's position would do.
Shows how strange British poilitics has become when you've got Tories like me defending Corbyn...
"I don't think that anybody has ever voted down the Queens Speech."

Nah, it's happened five times, although the most recent loser was Stanley Baldwin in 1924.
No surprise. His possession of 'the plot' never was in evidence.
Seems to have done pretty well in getting "the plot" lately, though.

Jim, there’s a world of difference between intelligence and sense. ;o)
Whereas the only plot Mrs May will be getting is the one she will grow her vegetables in, when she is 'retired' ...
Your intelligence is not in doubt, Naomi ...
Corbyn is trying to save us all from Tory madness. T May is attempting to prop up the Conservative party by bringing in dubious Northern Island party polititioners with no thought at all for us mainland electors.
Question Author
Corbyn seems to have forgotten that the queens speech is written by the party in power and the associated vote is largely symbolic.
sunny-dave, thank you. Sadly, it seems your sense is.
