Dead Duck!

I found a dead duck at the foot of our drive way this morning.

I have temporarily hidden him in a bin bag so as not to upset the kids.

Would you bury it or pop in the general waste wheelie bin? Sounds insensitive, but I need to do something with it!!

Well if you aren't into road kill, I think the bin idea seems easiest.

Maybe with some pancakes and hoi sin sauce?
Myself, I would bury it Jd.

Seems a bit of an undignified end, a wheelie bin doesn't it!?
Might grab the shovel once the kids are out the house. I have become quite fond of the local ducks, we back on to a small park and they are regular visitors to the garden...
the foxes may dig it up ,I would put it in the bin x
I'd put it in a black dustbin bag, knot the bag, and put it in the bin.
I don't think the duck worries. You could invite it's family for the eulogy.
I would only put it in the bin if the binmen are due to come today or tomorrow. Even though it's bagged, it won't be a pretty sight (or smell) in this heat.
the only other thing is leave it in park for the foxes x
the ^^
It's no different to any other meat you might bin. It won't smell if it's tied tightly in a bag.
Most other meat in the bin doesn't have it's entrails and other bodily fluids in it. Personally, I'd do what mallyh said. Secrete it somethere in the countryside and let nature take it's course.
Double wrap for freshness.
bin it but put it in one bag, knot the bag then bag it again and knot.
There you go. Decision made.
Good because I need to forget about rotting dead ducks in dusbins - I`m just about to eat my breakfast.
Are there any plans for a memorial service?

This event should really be marked in some way.
Are you sure it is dead?
It may just be stunned ... beautiful plumage as the duck.
could be pining for the fjords x
I definitely wouldn't bother burying it. I can't deal with dead animals at all, so I'd wait for OH to come home, so he could pick it up and chuck it somewhere. Possibly in the bit of the garden where the foxes hang out.
