I happened to catch last Sunday's Weather Forecast at the end of Countryfile. The presenter was Louise Lear. She, of the face, that contorts to resemble a bulldog chewing a wasp when telling us of bad weather to come and jabbing the air with what looks like a piece of mime of her clawed hand as if she is auditioning for the part of one of the Witches in Macbeth.
All of a sudden the TV screen froze, she disappeared in an instant and said something like "the graphics have crashed." For one moment I thought we had got rid of her for good. Sadly not - she continued in sound only.
Summer weather is it now . . . mid August? - hah! It is so dark in the mornings - but for the temperature - you could be forgiven for thinking we are now well into the Autumn! . . . Sigh!
