No Way!

I was sitting in a restaurant, waiting for my order.
finally I spotted the waiter heading in my direction.
As he placed my plate on the table I noticed he had his thumb on my steak.
I was so angry I shouted at him "I don't want to see your fingers touching my food, that just isn't on".
He replied "Would you rather I let it fall on the floor again"

Reminds me of a time I was helping my friend who had a pub/restaurant and doing a stint of waiting on - as I placed a roast beef dinner in front of a rather stuffy looking business man I noticed my thumb had wandered into the gravy.

Not wanting to drip on the tablecloth I sucked my thumb and said 'Oooh you'll love that,tasty' - he remained silent but his friends chuckled.
