Acer Laptop Not Booting Up

I have an Acer lap top not used for over a year, tried to start it up and it keeps saying prepping auto repair then goes into a blue screen saying there a problems, then back to the auto repair screen etc etc
It’s doing my head in any easy to follow instructions please before the laptop and my husband is disposed off

Sounds like the symptom that a friends computer had.

Do you get any options for repairing or startup options?

You need to get access to the command prompt.

The you need to check the file system and the hard disk - thats how I got his one working.

i think we also opted to refresh windows - thats not a return to factory setting.
