Staying Young ?
A woman in her forties went to a plastic surgeon for a face-lift. The
surgeon told her about an exciting new procedure called "The Knob"
which would involve attaching a small knob to the back of her head
underneath her hairline. Once in place, the knob could be turned
progressively to tighten up her skin and produce the effect of a new
face lift whenever she deemed it necessary.
The woman in question liked the sound of this new technique and agreed to have the knob fitted. Over the next few years, she tightened the knob as and when required and was delighted with the results. She effectively managed to lose her wrinkles and remain young-looking and vibrant.
After ten years, however, she had to return to the surgeon with two
problems.
"Everything has been working just fine," she told him. "Whenever
things have started to sag a bit I've just turned the knob and the
results have been really good. But just recently I've noticed a couple
of problems. First, I've got these terrible bags under my eyes and
turning the knob just won't get rid of them."
The surgeon looked at her closely and said, "I'm afraid those aren't
bags, madam. Those are your breasts."
"There's no point asking about the beard then," she replied!
