Received a small Amazon parcel today. Inside was a rather lovely mug. Parcel had my correct name and address and was left in my "safe place". Only problem is that I certainly didn't order or pay for this mug. No paperwork enclosed either. 'Tis a puzzlement.
Maggie I had a delivery message with a photo of a wall , a plant and my parcel, only it wasn't my house, later same parcel was left at the street end of my garden path:0/
Just been in touch with Amazon. They are aware of this possible scam but assure me my account has not been compromised. I was told just to keep the mug. I have changed my password as an extra precaution.
Thanks woofgang, thats an intresting scam but a dont see it being common, it must cost maybe £4 for the mug and postage (unless there using the prime free delivery option a suppose) which seems a lot to pay just to get a fake posative review. You think they might of sent something cheaper and envelope sized to save money.
Maybe it was a genuine free gift relating to something you did buy from amazon or elswhere.
Good luck with it, let us know of developments?
