A Polish immigrant went to the Post office to apply for a driver's licence.
First, of course, he had to take an eye sight test. The optician showed
him a card with the letters:

"Can you read this?" the optician asked.
"Read it?" the Polish guy replied, "I know the guy."

They were looking to catch a man with a horrendous driving record, by the name if Prawo Jazdy. He had been booked by so many police but never paid a fine or turned up in court.
It turned out that the name the police wrote down was Polish for driving licence.
