That's lovely but full of jeopardy! The adoptive parents were tawneys too. Nature is wonderful and it's lovely that Robert was able to help and they accepted him.
Oh that's odd...I'm not terribly familiar with the look of various owls and could have sworn it was said they were different. Though the sound wasn't terribly good for me at the start.
I used to volunteer at the Hawk and owl trust which is half a mile away from us. I love all birds, especially birds of prey, but the knowledgeable warden told me that 'Wise Owls' is not strictly true. Their not as wise as the other birds of prey. But they are beautiful and imloved holding them.
