Good Morning, Birdies, from Vecriga (Riga Old Town) where we're not far off sunrise. The days are long here and sunset is after 10pm.

Riga came alive last night having been fairly quiet on Wednesday / Thursday and restaurants and bars were packed with all nationalities.

We' plan to go to Riga Central Market today. I would like to go the Motor Museum too but it's time and distance and it's our last day today.

Apologies for any typos, I can’t find my glasses!

Have an excellent day wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

Good morning, LCG (although it's still late 'evening' as far as I'm concerned!)

The quickest way to get to the motor museum from the city centre would be by taxi which, according to the museum's website should only cost you between €7 and €10 for the 20-minute ride:

I hope that you have a good day!

Good morning, Chris, lovely to speak to you! ❤️ You are such an asset to the AB Community when it comes to "getting there."

Our Driver from the airport, Girts, intimated that it is much further away.

We'll have to weigh it all up today as we definitely want to get another spa in this afternoon if possible.

Thank you so much for that.

BTW, they adore cats here xx

Talking of taxis, Chris, we went out for a meal for his Birthday night before last and it was 10 euros going and 3.70 euros coming back. Go figure.
Good morning all!
Have a good day, whatever you're up to.
Take care
Morning, oh the joys of travelling to exotic climes. The taxi fare, Lady CG, is the opposite of Egypt where they charge you £E 1 to get on the camel and £E 10 to get off it!

Work for me later but lunch in Trurra with an old friend from where I used to live so I'll catch up with all the latest goss from there...and they've had plenty of it what with a major heist of jewellery at their Antiues fair, a case of AGBH and a burglary at the Estate's holiday house. Then a saunter along to Waitrose and back here to Paradise.
Good morning from a very warm CT ,I love this time of morning when the suns up ,it’s peaceful and quiet and all there’s to do is sit outside on the terrace in the warm sunshine drinking a coffee, you sound like you’re having a lovely time Lcg,mines full of sunshine and yours is full of culture x
Good morning all. Glad you are all having a most enjoyable time.
Looks like being another hot day here so I'll have to go and find somewhere shady and cool. I know. This weather is appreciated by all except me. Beaches will be crowded with people enjoying themselves in and around the sea.
Morning Birdies. We are home from our Salcombe trip. Brilliant Hotel(Harbour Beach and Spa) and the place is lovely. Especially the South Sands area and the North Sands bay. Taxis? ... forget it. In Salcombe it is either a rib and Honda outboard, or Shank's pony. The skills to launch from shore are a life changing asset in that tidal inlet. We will somehow, be going back. Expensive does not adequately describe it mind! It is worth it though and can be assuaged by a judicious stash of vino in the boot.
Good morning all.Looks like another roaster of a day up here in Aberdeen.Have a nice day everyone.
Good morning. It is sunny with puffy clouds in Norfolk and it promises a nice day. Have a good day in Riga LadyCG and i hope you can negotiate the language.
