Good Monday morning birdies xx after a lot of rain yesterday afternoon things have cooled a bit.. hopefully it will stop raining before I need to find a second giraffe for the ark ! Have a great day whatever you are up to today xx

Good morning Minty. Still no rain here so keeping on watering veg and fruit garden. Not as good steady rain though.
Not having a very good night so will be going back to bed soon.

Most things are growing well especially those protected from ravaging rabbits, crafty crows and mangy magpies.

our magpies are a bit aggressive right now..fighting with the rooks crows etc.. What a noise they make too !

They are both doing a good job and demolishing the spinach and beetroot.

must be heartbreaking to watch things be destroyed.. I stopped planting sunflowers as every time one was broken by a bird landing or something running up them I was bereft !

Have now managed to cover a lot of stuff with either fleece or netting. That helps to keep the little bs at bay a bit.

you need a high powered water gun..and a good aim ! lol

Good morning all!
No rain here either, and also suffering from something excavating soil from around, newly watered plants, only by sheer luck, no permanent damage. Birds or rabbits are the suspects of interest.
Protecting methods welcome.

morning chip xx ooo no rain yet ? could be birds digging down for worms ?? after watering it can bring them to the surface..birds seem to realise that and scratch about a bit..afraid I have no solutions to offer !!

Good morning, sun is shing but not for long according to CF last night, we’re in for some heavy downpours this week, going to our local florists to have some flowers sent to our friend who’s husband died on Saturday, then to M@S to get a Colin the Caterpillar and the female equivalent called Connie as a thank you to my dentist for the series of work I’ve had done on me gob ;0) he will probably only have one bit but two cakes will be for the rest of them for their break

morning Bobbi xx aww sorry to hear of your friend's loss..very sad... already hottish here..windows open !! will shampoo carpets in a few mins..they will dry easily in this heat and also help the dry air in the house at the same time..bit of a humidifier action !!
