Trying To Make Payment

I have been trying to order some clothes from George and my payment is being declined.  And another order from another company was declined online.

So I thought there was a problem with my card etc.

I went over to my local bank and the banker there went through loads of stuff to find out what the problem was - he couldn't find anything wrong.

I am just after ordering successfully from another site and so obviously there is nothing wrong with the card.

What can I do to get orders from George.  I live near Asda - would it be good to talk to the manager.  Thanks

Sometimes a card order does not go through and the bank does not know why. It could be any number of reasons. When this happens to me I wait a couple of hours and then try later. If you are near to ASDA you could go in to the shop

thanks Cal - unfortunately the clothes I want are only online so can't purchase them in the shop but will try and talk to manager etc.

It has been a while. How is it acting now when you try to make an order ?

Asda might have been experiencing some technical problems recently, I think.

A few days ago, I tried to purchase a rugby shirt at the self-service tills in one of their stores.  The machine kept demanding that I had to weigh the item on the scales but then, when I tried to comply, told me that the item couldn't be sold.  Eventually an assistant managed to put my shirt through as 'ladies clothing' but then, when I tried to pay with my debit card, the card was declined on the basis that it was an 'illegal transaction'!

I doubt that speaking to the manager of your local store is going to help you make an online purchase though.  (Sorry!). The two sides of the business operate almost entirely separately.

I've had trouble with Asda recently with my online groceries orders. It might just be a problem with their system.
As Buenchico said, the manager of the store is unlikely to be able to help you.

Make sure all stails are correct I had this recently and evenytually found an * in front of the postcode

stails..?  details!!!
