Didn't get a chance to respond to everyone individualy on my

A&E thread

But just wanted to thank and acknowledge you all.

Got discharged last night after a few days of been prodded, pricked, probed, swabbed, pill swallowing, morphine taking and various drips administered.

My son picked me up from hosital and first thing we did was go to the takeaway for a HOT meal. The hospital food was always cold by the time it reached the ward. Apart from that, the staff were fantastic. Hats off to them 😁

Glad you're home. What's happening now? Meds, monitoring?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things will go well for you, Nailedit!

🤞

Pleased to hear your news, you're sounding a lot more positive, hope it continues  😄😄😄

Barry,

basically just told that I cant drink (No shi Sherlock)

Before the ward doctor whould discharge me, he said that he

would need to speak to the liver team. Came back and said that they wanted some more blood samples (different from the ones already taken) and I have to go back to hospital again next week  (they will ring me with a date and the unit i will have to go to) to have some more samples taken.

Apart from that, take pain killers.

Thank you Chris and haras 😀

Did you meet my Uncle Alan when you were in there? He has a fractured hip.

Nice to know you've not been abandoned

Question Author

LOL Tills, you know what A&E is like here in Stoke.

Even if I knew him, it would be like trying to find a needle in a hay stack 😂

Question Author

Thanks barry,

took 4 trips to A&E though before they took my pain seriously

enough to look into it more thoroughly.

He is in the major trauma ward. Did you miss him?

I think you know that most here in AB care about you.

I certainly do and I'm writing this with care and affection.

You're in the last chance saloon.  You need to take any step to help you beat your addiction.

Go to AA and give it a try.  I know you think it's not for you but it could be the thing that saves you.

Good to see you're home, nailedit, now concentrate on looking after yourself properly 🙂

Thank you sandy & l.i.k

Look after yourself, Nailedit. Drink plenty of water & rest. Hope all goes well for you, and that you'll get lots of help on the road to recovery. x

Question Author

Cheers Patsy

So pleased you're home, Nailedit.  Take care of yourself - and I mean really take care of yourself.  X

Question Author

Thank you naomi

Good morning nailedit.  Very pleased to see you on here already.  All terrible news on TV today so far, so good to read you are doing OK.  Just keep on behaving yourself and do as you are told! Right? XX

Glad to see that they  finally took you seriously and treated you. Am assuming that they want to to norw bloods next week when the liver has had a little rest. Wishing you all the luck in the world x

Question Author

Thanks LB. Glad I don't a TV then, lol.

Thanks Smow

Yeah, more bloods. Had so many injections and bloods   done while in hospital that my skin now resembles a dartboard...
