I used to remember everything and now i'm really forgetful. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm 25. I don't know whether it's coz i'm getting older or coz i'm not at uni any more so am not using my brain enough?!

I wouldn't say it's because you're getting older. Your second option is possibly more close to the truth, for example if we don't do much exercise, our body gets out of condition, the same is possibly true of the brain. Maybe try doing a bit of reading, do some puzzles like sudoku or crosswords? Or perhaps now you're not at Uni and have many responsibilities in adult life, your brain is filled with those rather than things you need to remember/
Same happened to me after uni- I think it's the alcohol. Really!
Um...what was the question again???
Try taking some bcomplex tablets and gingko bilbo and see if that makes a difference..as being low in the b vitamins can cause you to forget things..P>S take the strongest you can get...
get into crosswords and puzzles etc to get your brain going
Hi sammd. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. The first couple of years after I left Uni and was in work I really thought that I was losing my mind and my memory was going, but the world of work is so different to anything that you would have worked on at Uni. You have to recall lots of information at work and generally without any prior warning. At Uni you were used to concentrating on just one subject at a time. I'd be lost now without a diary. I think people see this as being acceptable practice; it's the people who think they can remember everything and take nothing down on paper yet end up missing meetings, asking the same questions two/three times that really annoy me!

Maybe you need a structure again, like in uni? Maybe you need that directive. So be your own tutor and design a structure with every need you have on your timetable.

Exercise mind and body and soul, essential nutrition, creativity, sex, theory...whatever your needs are. I think when you agree you can design your life however you want it to be, you will have more energy.

also zinc, maybe you're deficient in it. You can find out what you essentially need by one questionairre with a nutritionist, one session. (I am not a nutritionist)

Take care to include your soul

This happened to me also. I have bought some fish oil capsules as this is supposed to help. Problem is that I keep forgetting to take them!!!!!x

Hehe, thanks guys...sounds like it's quite common after uni. Some of my most intelligent friends are the most forgetful people - but that must be because they haven't got any spare brain cells left to remember the every day things!
