run flat tyres
4 Answers
I have a mini cooper which is currently on dunlop 195 55 r16 v runflat tyres. They are ok but the tyre wear on the front is very high and are due for a change. looked on the net and found that pirrelli, goodyear and bridgestone all do alternative tyres in this size.
Pirelli is cheapest folowed by brigestone then dunlop and goodyear are the same price. Just wanted to know other peoples experience with these brands as these tyres could be 100 pound a pop. i wouldnot recommend the dunlop but only on tyre wear alone, grip is good in the dry and ok in the wet.

Also some owners do the same to make room for stereo amps and woofer boxes. I know it sounds daft, but I know of at least two people who thought they would save a bit of cash until they had a puncture..when it cost them lots for towing off the M1.
If you can try COSTCO, if you have one local! They only do Michelin PILOT2, but fit, balance, new valves, and rotate all for about 55.00 a boot. Great tyres<good wear rate and excellent grip. Standard replacements on most Police vehicles.
