I am thinking about a career change from classical musician to the world of IT! I have been offered a place on a course with a company called advent computer training. They offer comprehensive training and a recruitment consultant to find work upon completion of the course (MCDBA) Should I do it? Has anyone else used this company? Was it successful? How was the course? Any info greatly appreciated.

MCDBA means Microsoft Certified Database Administrator. There are lots of training providers certified to deliver this training, so shop around for price and compare Advent to others first. Personally I wouldn't pay much attention to the recruitment consultant element - there's lots of organisations trying to place people into IT jobs and if you are good you won't find difficulty getting work in IT.
