Keith Baron told this on Countdown today (Fri). When a 90 yr old Yorkshire lady died, her husband asked the stonecutter if he could engrave her name on the top of the headstone, then, inside an engraved laurel wreath, could he inscribe 'She was thine'. No problem. The man went back a week later only to find that the engraver had missed the 'E' off the end. 'You've missed the 'E' off' he said. 'Put it right and I'll call back next week' When he went back the engraver said he'd put the 'E' on the stone now. When the man looked, it was engraved 'E, she was thin'
