Breast lump update

To those of you who listened to my worries about a breast lump a couple of weeks ago. I was referred to a breast clinic and saw a lovely lady consultant. After examination she was satisfied it was benign. She offered me a routine mammogram which I accepted. However, on questioning her, she advised that she would not have been concerned if I had refused it. I have a history of benign breast lumps and she reckons that my accepting the offer of a mammogram means that they will have a current photograph to use as a baseline against any future problems. Whilst I am not totally in the clear until I receive my mammography results, I feel loads better that she is not expecting an adverse result.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who offered their support when I was worried and down about it. You guys are the best!!!!!

so pleased for you Madgirl! I went in for my op and have now been told i don't have a fatty lump-its something else! not fatal or serious but have to go back for more tests!

madgirl, daisy and sophieb, I am so very thrilled for you!!! I had cancer years ago and I know how worrying the waiting game is. So my best wishes to you three. I so hope you never have to go through anything like this again. xxx :o)
