Babies can't cry in the womb because their lungs are full of liquid, well maybe they cry, i don't know, but they certainly can't make any sound. i can't think what they would have to cry about anyway, they will never be hungry or have a dirty nappy or miss their mum!
annie is right, what do they have to cry about? its us that should be doing the crying!!
Babies do cry in the womb, but scientists think this is a learning reflex, as they practice things in the womb for when they are born. They study 4D scans and its amazing some of the things they have learnt.
Like babies smile in the womb and they think the birth and new surroundings stop them smiling until they are older.
The reason we cant hear them is because they cant make any noise due to the lungs not having air in them
I had a feeling that they might cry, it's amazing what they can see now isn't it - I knew that they definitely couldn't make any sound though - wouldn't it be weird if they did?
