had halloween party for my little ones and lots of there friends then took them all trick n treating....... why doesn't anybody bother with it anymore? to see there little faces when nobody bothers to answer the door is so annoying and waste of time! i got into the fun of it, got dressed up as a witch, although some would say i am one anyway! that was a joke legend lol ....... Anyway when i was back in scotland for halloween, most people got into the spirit of things.... and they say the scottish are tight!! shame really....
Because with this day and age and the little sh!ts that are about nowadays people are afraid to open open the door. Im not saying all children are like this but maybe if some respected elders a bit more they would get something back.
I made up 50 bags full of lollies, choccy bars and sweeties and only 8 kids turned up at our house. I am now left with a cupboard full of goodies that I really don't want!x
i hear what your saying 4get but even the people that did answer the door they didn"t have anything or would give a sweet each to the kids!! doesn"t cost that much to buy couple bags of sweets.. does it?
sorry, I agree with 4get.
And perhaps some people who dont have kids or celebrate halloween in such a comercialised way dont want to feel obliged to hand over sweets or money.
Parents who complain about it dont help matters Im afraid.
If it was your children and lots of friends children then why couldnt you arrange it so that they only visited homes of friends and family who had prior agreed to it?
well redcrx you sound like an old fart..........and katie at least you got into the spirit even though your going to get fat eating all the goodies that are left lol
I did get some goodies in for the kiddies but sadly only 4 came knocking and they were around 13-14 years old, 3 or them werent even dressed up and one kid just had his hoodie up and pulled really tight at the front. Felt like telling them to **** off but didn't fancy getting the windows egged.
maybe those people that only give one sweet can only afford that, and they got something so they cant complain. and yes it is american nonsense I agree. Its always nice to see tiny ones dressed up at parties etc but why show your kids its good to go to strangers houses and beg
Nowt to do with being a bit annoyed that children or parents who i would never know expecting to be given sweets or money just because they knock at my door then?
what makes you think you have a right to complain about it?
I also agree with 4getmenot. It's the horrible ones that have spoilt it for the kids. By the way, I wish I had knocked on Katie~77's door! Mmmm, all those bags of sweets :-)
yea warpig its a shame people have to waste it for everybody else.... its for the little kiddies not the older ones just trying there luck!! hasn"t put me off though and i"ll bring the gang to your house next year katie xx
