Do you think that you should have to take the test every 10 years something on the lines of . after 10 yrs Free re test if you fail you get 3 month to get back to the required standard at full cost to your self . If you fail again you get 1 more month to get to the required standard fail again . licence revoked I.e you become a Lerner again until you pass your test. The Thing I often hear is people saying Id fail my test If took it now >we have to change this to people saying I'd love to take my test again be cause I am a good driver who sticks to the to the rules and try to keep the right attitude to driving. (Dream on)

I am a Driving Instructor and we have to take a retest every few years ( At random )so as to make sure that our standards of teaching are not falling if you fail you can loose your job . That though alone makes you think about your job and your standard of teaching and your own driving .So lets introduce a random retesting of drivers.
Well said Ethel, and although we older folks get a bit sloppy and have a few bad habits, I'.m sure most insurance companies would agree its the 20-30 age group that have the most accidents and drive too fast.
Maybe a check up at the doctors every few years would be more appropriate to check on mental and physical ability to drive .

OK so lets say the driving test is only the first test and after two two or three years you must train and pass a advance driving test . And as for funding just pass it on to the poor drivers . I know from my own experience that as soon as some one passes there test ( That's That ) Before the
therory tests were introduced my pupils would have the highway code in there hand at the test centre. Now when they pass there theory ( That's That ) .In fact a lot of them never read the highway code they just read The theory Q.A books
Not every 10 years no. But I have said for many years that once you get to a certain age, maybe once you retire you should have a test every 3/5 years.

That of course if you survive to retirement
