Is it really true that the daddy longlegs is the world's most poisonous animal? I've heard that the only reason it doesn't often kill is because its mouth is so small that it cannot bite us.

Pure playground myth. In America, the arachnid called the daddy longlegs is also known as a harvestman. In Britain, this story refers to the crane fly, an unrelated winged insect that looks like a large mosquito, and is also called daddy longlegs.
