I was hoping to buy some nappies to give me a start for when the baby comes. Can anyone help with what kind? I was in Asda earlier and they were selling their little angels nappies in the big box for 4. Are they any good. Thanks.
dont buy too many before baby arrives. I tried pampers with my son and they leaked but huggies were fine. Ive heard that baby girls tend to be ok in pampers but not huggies but cant tell you if thats true or not
Perhaps get a small newborn pack of what youd like to try and, instead of buying more nappies in advance, get store vouchers instead?
I tried my son in Pampers as I had used them for both my girls, they were rubbish and I wound up using Huggies for him. I would stick to one of the named brand nappies as the stores own tend to be no good.
i when my 2 were babies i only ever used pampers and they were fine. when they got to about 6 moths i tried the tesco nappies, not the tesco value ones the better ones and they were just as good. i tried the asda ones but founf that the velcro pulled off really easy.
i was told that the cheaper nappies are no good for newborn babies as it makes there bum sore, not sure if that is true. i think its just trial and error.
Same story as most with Pampers, my son was 6 lb 2 born and I had bought pampers that would fit his size, but they leaked every time. Very frustrating as we were in hosp for a week after. Ended up going for huggies in the end, much better!
I bought a small packet of Pampers and a small packet of Huggies because I ave heard various stories about how they fit (namely that Pampers don't!), but my friend said she was a real nappy snob when her daughter was born but soon realised that Tesco's own nappies were the best for her and cost a lot less too. I guess it is down to the individual and trial and error - it might be that Huggies are great for newborns, but Pampers are better at 6months, etc etc.
Well just to add, after a while I started buying Lidl's own as they are made by pampers, but my son was abit older and these ones didn't leak! So like above, it's tial and error really x
When my 7 yr old was born, I couldnt use pampers on her as they made her sore but had no problems with huggies. This time I started with huggies and have had no problems and so sticking with them. Just buy one pack of whatever you wish to try until you can try them on baby and make sure theyre ok.
hi, my daughter is now 9months. when she was newborn i used pampers for bout a week but didnt get on with them, they leaked all the time. since then i have used tesci own and had no problems at all, i did buy a pack of asda little angels cause was in asda and needed nappies but they were awful, i really wouldnt suggest using them.
Best nappies I ever used are Boots own and I have 3 children
Pampers always leak on my soon and I also like huggies but really its a case of buy and try as they say ! x
