My friend got in a taxi before Xmas and the driver started to chat her up.. She wasn't interested to start with. She then got his taxi a further two times and now she's claiming to be in love with him.
She has sent him two cards, one for Valentines Day and the other a few weeks later with her number on it and a dinner proposal. He ignored both. The last time she got into the taxi, she made it really obvious that she likes him and now she won't stop going on about it. She feels like she has made herself look easy and stupid. He said 'i wouldn't say i didn't fancy you', but she's confused as to whether or not he was just being polite.
She is at a really rubbish time in her life at the minute as she's single and looking for a job etc.. I think it's silly to claim to love someone after only a few brief meetings. I think it's just the fact that she's single at the minute and has nothing else to focus on. I don't know really and want to help her as it really is taking over her whole life...
As crude as it sounds, I think getting her laid might be a good idea. Once she realises that there are other men out there she may stop obsessing over him.
Sounds to me as though he's married or already in a relationship.
Your friend should find another to focus her affections on. Or realise there's more to life than snagging a boyfriend.
I'm with the others on this. Sounds to me as if he likes a bit of a thrill (let's face it, it must be bloody boring so a bit of flirting makes the day go quicker) but is probably not up for anything more than a bit of banter.
I wouldn't necessarily agree with getting her laid though - she will just transfer her affections to the conquest.
Bugger it. Send her my way, i'll blow her socks off for a night, leave her walking like John Wayne, then treat her like cr@p so she won't fall in love with me. I may even try it on with her mates as well.
Hi there yellow, you're looking stunning today......
Just for the record, she isn't a sleep around. I also think he's maybe with someone, but she won't listen. She sits outside the drop off point waiting to catch a glimpse, it's really that much of an obsession...I'm not sure if it's the taxi driver or just other parts of the life that she's not happy with maybe??
